My Ex used to work at a Local Kennel, She wanted to start her own one day. I had a great idea for it....

Set up web cams on the cages so that owners could log on at any time and check up to see how the dogs are doing and too see how they are being treated. Not sure if anyplace does that but talk about peace of mind for pet owners

What a great idea!!! Why didn't I think of that?!?

There are doggie-daycares in DC that do that. I worked w/ a guy who could check on his schnauzer through out the day via the net. He loved the feature.

With certain things. In those 2 years with her I dealt with enough animals. Dang Horses, Dogs, Cats, Rabbits, some fuzzy squirrel/rat lloking thing, pet snakes. I do miss working on the farm helping her out, gave me something to do after work.

I know if I had a Dog I would go out of my way to a place where I could watch it at anytime, and pay for it. People spend a ton of money on animals and a lot don't think twice about it. I remember growing up as a little kid hearing... "that dog doesn't look too good. Lets give it a couple days" I'm sure ya'll could guess what happened next if they didn't get better.

Update

Can anyone recommend a nice boarding kennel in the Waldorf area?

Please do not say Riviera on 231. They are the reason my Dad is looking for another kennel.

I don't believe this! My Dad decided to give Riviera Kennels another chance. They just picked up his dog and once again, they did not give him his treats the whole time he was there.

I sure hope my parents have learned their lesson and won't deal with this place again.

Another great place that I found and it is located in White Plains behind the BYU lumber is called Pampered Pets of Southern Maryland. My puppy had a great time and the owner sent me emails with pics everyday to keep me informed about his well being. Pampered Pets of Southern Maryland - Home and the number is 404-925-4785.

Rita's on 231 is very nice. Not far from Riviera if they are using them due to location.
