I am new to the area, St. George Island. I was wondering if there were any recommendations on boat mechanics that went onsite to work on a boat on a lift?

My option is to take it to St. Mary's marina and have them take it out and work on it there?

It would help if you could tell us what was wrong and what type of motor (assuming it's the motor that has issues).

It is a 2005 Volvo Penta engine, dual prop. The problem I have is the engine lift has stopped working. I tilt it up when pulling in to the boat lift at low tide to avoid bottoming out.

So, I am hesitant to pull it out onto the trailer to take it to a mechanic with the engine stuck in the down position.
