BombBombBomb...BombBomb Iran

Let he who has wisdom calculate the number of the beast,
for it is the number of a man, and that number is six hundred and sixty six.

Think about it...The one way Bush can ensure that McCain gets into the White House is to start a war with Iran, and give Iran enough time to counter-attack, raising public support for the war.

Not only will that continue the Neo-Conservative doctrine, it will prevent a democratic president from uncovering and investigating all the dirty deeds committed in the previous eight years.

This will have to be done before November 2008, with just enough time to allow Iran to fight back, raising the American public Ire, but before the public realizes that a big mistake was made.

Saudi Paper: Prepare for radioactive fallout. Now.

by Jim P

Mon Mar 24, 2008 at 11:57:23 PM PDT

According to Chris Floyd at Empire Burlesque,
... the Saudi government is now preparing plans to deal with "any sudden nuclear and radioactive hazards" that may arise from an attack on Iran's nuclear reactors. This was reported by a top Saudi newspaper, Okaz, and relayed by a leading German news service, dpa -- one day after Dick Cheney paid a visit to the kingdom. As we noted, no one knows exactly what was said at that confab of allied authoritarians -- but something sure lit a fire under the Saudis, and convinced them that urgent action is needed to brace for the lethal overspill from a strike on Iran.
Floyd points out that nothing in Saudi Arabia becomes the top news story without government approval. That such a story should be released the day after Cheney's visit, sends a message to everyone about what is on Cheney's mind.
Combined with the dismissal of Fallon, Petreus' claim to have evidence (which he doesn't produce) that Iran was responsible for the recent shelling of the Green Zone, and the Egyptian report that a nuclear sub has been ordered by Bush into the Gulf, the bleak picture in both Pakistan and Afghanistan (accelerating collapse of Musharraf's power and strategy, the coming spring offensive in the Taliban's announced drive for Kabu), ...
plus the oft-stated desire of Bush and Cheney to attack Iran, and, as noted by former mideast policy official William K. Polk at Juan Cole's site just a few days ago, the last time Cheney visited the nations he visited this time was right before the Iraq attack.
plus, only a moron would deny that Bush and Dick have nothing but contempt for the will of the people, congress and the courts, and crave war like a junkie craves his fix,
AND
the coming Presidential election

well, add all that together...
Polk's essay linked above is a very compelling assembly of all the reasons it looks like an Iran attack is in the making and will soon be launched. I can only hope the Saudi King looked at Dick Cheny and said "Go #### yourself.' Not that that would change any of his plans.
Should it happen, remember that any release of nuclear materials, or use of nuclear weapons will be an attack not only on Iran, but the entire region with fallout reaching even the US eventually.
Which of our candidates, who among our Democratic leadership, will speak out strongly to stop this coming nightmare?

Forestal, you are nutty. You should consider broadening your intellectual horizons instead of slurping up Air America and DU dreck as a steady diet.

any bank or financial institution in the world that does business with Iran subject to an economic death sentence: complete exclusion from the U.S. financial system.

so with the dollar in a death spiral any foreign bank is going to sit still and listen to this crap ......... the Europeans that would not cooperate on the invasion of Iraq are going to help with this .....

All of this, McGlynn says, is an extension of the "Shock and Awe" doctrine formulated by Harlan Ullman and James Wade for the National Defense University in 1995.

Gee who was in the White House then .............

The strategy became famous after the Pentagon adopted it for the military invasion of Iraq – but as McGlynn points out, the doctrine has always had an economic side too. In fact, the authors believed that the economic ruin visited upon a target nation might be more effective than bombs and bullets – largely because they are more invisible, more politically palatable than big-bang extravaganzas. McGlynn notes:

But Shock and Awe’s authors (apparently with something like Vietnam or the 1993-1994 Somalia fiasco in mind) also envisioned that “n certain circumstances, the costs of having to resort to lethal force may be too politically expensive in terms of local support as well as support in the U.S. and internationally." Consequently, they wrote:

"Economic sanctions are likely to continue to be a preferable political alternative or a necessary political prelude to an offensive military step… In a world in which nonlethal sanctions are a political imperative, we will continue to need the ability to shut down all commerce into and out of any country from shipping, air, rail, and roads. We ought to be able to do this in a much more thorough, decisive, and shocking way than we have in the past… Weapons that shock and awe, stun and paralyze, but do not kill in significant numbers may be the only ones that are politically acceptable in the future."

It was only a matter of finding a sanctions strategy systematic enough to make this more obscure portion of the Shock and Awe doctrine operational. What Ullman and Wade could not have imagined was that Washington's global planners would use extraterritorial legal powers and its financial clout to coerce the global banking industry into accepting US foreign policy diktat.

IF the U.S. were to declare war on Iran, without Iran staging a MAJOR attack first, such as launching an ICBM nuke into the Green Zone or Israel, that would guarantee the (D) candidate walking into the White House.

McGlynn notes that even the Chinese – Iran's biggest trading partner – is feeling the heat from the Patriot Act's "nuclear option" of banishment from the U.S. financial system:

China that holds billions in US Treasury Notes would allow the US to bully it around when they are holding all the cards ...........

I trust that when the bombs start dropping you will drop to your knees, kiss my feet, and renounce Conservatism forever.

The Neo-Conservatives will NEVER have a better opportunity again to take care of Iran. They will not let this chance slip by.

Glad you recognize that weakness.

But what you fail to realize is that Cheney doesn't pay attention to fickle public opinion, or that this chance to stop Iran will never come again with the U.S. able to weather the repercussions as well as it does today...

I think you misunder-estimate the stupidity of the American people.

We can attack anyone we want, and if they fight back, well that will just piss us off more.

Dollar in a death spiral... so what? Bush still wants his tax cuts so we have to borrow more money and get an even more devalued dollar.

Whenever did you get the impression that Bush and his ilk care about you?

I tell you, that it a mind-blowing thing to contemplate. Who really has the upper hand these days? There's an old saying: If you owe $3 billion, the banks own you. If you owe $3 trillion, you own the banks.

Since China basically is our manufacturing base and we are China's biggest market, I don't see how any "nuclear option" would work. No more iPods? No more Ikea? There would be rioting in the streets!

Of course, I don't think we're going to invade Iran either. We can't afford it. And while it would be tempting to lob a few cruise missiles at their little nuke city, I think there is still very much a chance to engage them ... you know, intelligently. Not the way Bush did after 9/11.

Ironically, one of the best ways to get Iran to behave would be to pledge their security. They are wedged smack dab between two nuke powers that HATE them. Of course they want a nuke. And they aren't going to be stupid enough to hand one to Hezbollah, no matter what the warmongers say. They just want to brandish it like a big "Fugg Off" sign.

You must not be a military expert. How many major conflicts can our military handle at one time by doctrine?

This country is in a spiral, not due to the true American's, but because of the media.
Hell, look at this site promoting "Obama".
Did we forget what happened 6 years ago?

Change? What's the change? Haven't heard any real issue's except for THE MEDIA bringing the troop's home and healthcare.

Have you bleeding heart liberals figured out yet that we are there as a presence and are protecting our country as we speak 8,000 miles away?

Let's talk about the 4,000 lives that have been loss so far in Iraq IN FIVE YEARS.

How many in Vietnam were loss?

How many in WW2?

How about WW1?

Next question...Do you like living in the United States?

I already know the answer's...I can hear them coming.

Tard's are welcome.
