Boom?

Anyone know what the booming sound that is happening? I am in lex park and its rattling my windows and such. I am thinking testing and mess on base.. just wasnt sure. Figured someone on here would know.

Up in Mechanicsville we regularly hear booms that rattle the windows and doors from testing at NSWC Dahlgren.

Lately though there have been some that have actually shaken the whole house.

I've heard similar reports from two people in Hollywood area too.

I know that the Sheriff's dept and bomb disposal group detonated a bomb they found a while back at the dump in Sandgates. Maybe its all the bombs they keep finding at Walmart? :wink:

I felt something yesterday afternoon and wondered what it was too. It was more of a slow rumble that came and went, and less like a *boom*. I am about 15 miles from Dahlgren and can usually hear them but this was different.

Ok. I will bite. It could be construed as that. It made the windows rumble and the walls shake. It was happening from about 3 pm till about 10pm last night.
