Something big just went boom in the Piney Point area. Shook the whole building. I immediately exclaimed, "What did Gilligan do now?"

Better have someone check the Clubhouse. That was one of the loudest "BOOM"s I ever recall hitting this place. That HAD to take out windows up in 7D and Cobb island area...
My brother and Fast Eddie are just getting in the boat to go over now.Better have someone check the Clubhouse.
All of our windows are intact according to the LW.
She said it was crazy loud, probably the loudest she can remember since we moved into our house. (Almost 15 years)Was a big bang though, yes?
I was living on Brown Rd in 7D back when in the 80s Dahlgren was testting the charges for 16" guns. That was loud. This was louder...LOL.She said it was crazy loud, probably the loudest she can remember since we moved into our house. (Almost 15 years)

We were at Eglin AFB, FL when the battleships were being refitted at Pascagoula, MS in the early 80's.I was living on Brown Rd in 7D back when in the 80s Dahlgren was testing the charges for 16" guns. That was loud. This was louder...LOL.
I was working at Injun Head at the time...the engineering team responsible for getting the 16" gun ordnance back on line were in the same general office area where I worked. (I was a rocket and missile motor guy). I was running shock tests on my aircraft stuff (new launchers and motors) at Dahlgren at the same time the 16" tests were ongoing..and our instrumentation office/trailer for the shock test facility was only a very short distance from the gun emplacement. You got used to being hammered and shook after a while....LOL...We were at Eglin AFB, FL when the battleships were being refitted at Pascagoula, MS in the early 80's.
Would hear the rumble in the distance when they were in the Gulf test firing the 16's.
