Does anyone know anything about these phones and service? We are thinking of switching to them from verizon. Our cell phone bills are just getting ridiculous!! We can get 3 phones for way less than we are paying for 2 lines. Just wondering if anyone knows how the service is, etc. TIA

Looking at the coverage map as posted on Boost Mobile's web site, there are some minor holes in coverage in extreme Southern Maryland, along the eastern shore between Ocean City and Accomac and some huge holes in Virginia, NC and WV.

If you are planning on staying local, you might be ok. If you plan on doing any travelling at all, then Boost might not be the source to use.

Here is the web site:

Boost Mobile Monthly Unlimited and Unlimited Mobile Prepaid Plans

I see there is a plan for 50 bucks unlimited calling. Beware of the fine print. Also, if you choose to pay as you go, the rates might be a little higher.

Not sure what your bill looks like with verizon, But I have two phones with sprint and they have unlimited everything, first line is 99.00 2nd line is 89.00 if u require a third line it is 79.00 all calls and text's are unlimited all the time. downloads are extra though.
My bill is about 230.00 with taxes ans insurance on both phones and my bill never changes unless I download a ring tone.
Boost mobile is expensive on the calls, I was averaging over 200. on one line when I had boost. due to amount of calls I had coming and going.

Was that on the $50 unlimited plan?

I didn't have that plan then I just remember I stayed away from long calls cuz the minute rate was high., but I did notice I have better reception and no dropped calls since I went to sprint too.

WE have 2 lines through verizon, and the mobile web card. Our bill is usually around $185.00. We only have 700 anytime mintues, but just about everyone i know is IN so between two of us i think the most we have used has been like 350 minutes. Unlimited text, verizon to verizon and web 2.0 on the phones.

AT&T gets my vote...

Their Family plan starts out with 2 lines and then 9.99 for each additional line. I think it is, $30 for Unlimited text messaing for the family.

I have 2 iPhones and out bill is right around $160 a month.

this is why I made the switch to verizon. sprints excuse was my phone was out of date and i needed to buy a new one. after buying two, i said to hell with it and they canceled my plan for free, and i got verizon. no dropped calls, and i get service in the ranch club. my husband and i have a plan and we pay $80/month for both plans. that includes unlimited texting, free long distance, yada yada..

Nothing fancy, just unlimited text and 700 min. per mo.. we dont even have email and it is $69.99 per phone not including taxes. I was reading their ad and it says $50/mo for un. calls(to anyone), un. text, un. web, etc.
