Bootlegged DVD's at Farmers' Market

Deputy Anthony Whipkey responded to a local flea market for the reported "Bootlegged" Property that was for sale. Once on the scene he recovered more than three hundred (300) illegal DVDs and CDs. There were current theater playing movies that were illegally recorded and now for sale. Suspect Barry William Bredlinger (Age 29 of Lusby) was arrested and charged with several counts. Additional charges maybe pending a State's Attorney's Office and Grand Jury review.

I've been to the Farmers' Market bunches of times and have seen DVD's for $3.00. They had to be bootlegged. My mom was so excited that she bought my son NickJr DVD's last year and they were so cheap. Opened them up and the DVD labels were just blank white. On top of that the coverart was printed on cheap copy paper.

Why isn't this place busted every day? I used to stop in to buy produce while on my lunch break and always saw the bootlegged DVD's and CD's.

You must be talking about the Urban Market? The farmers market I believe is next door.

There's a grower/producer only market located at the Charlotte Hall Library.

There's a privately owned Farmers Market & Auction located on the northbound side of Rt. 5 that sells a variety of items, I think the dvds would come from here.

Did your mom report it when she realized it was bootlegged? It takes someone to report it before an investigation will occur.

I doubt it. She was embarassed for falling for it. She insisted that they were not bootlegged because they had plastic around them.

Almost everything there is bootlegged (if not everything!).

Quite a few years ago, my mom bought my cousin a "Tommy Hilfiger" shirt there. She asked me to wrap it for her, and I looked and realized it had a "Fruit of the Loom" tag on it.

My friend's sister had bought one of those bootleg movies there, and me and my fiance were going to watch it, it was awful! The sound was bad, it skipped, and would freeze.

Watched one of those once, somebody had actuall sat in a movie theater with a camera and recorded it
You could hear the rude goobers talking in the background and every now and then somebody would walk in front of the camera :killingme

I surprised folks are still bootlegging stuff like that after "Kramer" got busted doing it in a Sienfeld episode.
