I've never paper tuned mine, but I hold the handle pretty loosely and use a mechanical release. The arrow hits the target point first every time, so I figure that's good enough....

If you don't paper tune how do you know how well your Nock and arrow rest are in alignment, both North South, and East West? and granted maybe not a big deal if you are shooting carbons.. but the distortion on an aluminum arrow is amplified if you aren't in a good tune.

I just never took the time to do it. I figure as long as the arrow hits where I'm aiming and doesn't fly or land all cockeyed, I'm good to go. Maybe I just got lucky and everything lined up right:shrug:

Well, then that answers your question, you were going to buy what you wanted to buy, regardless of what everyone else has to say.

Congratulations, you passed the test and you are now making it known that you are your own person. See, I'm a musician, as well as a life long avid hunter, and guitars are the same way to me, I'm gonna buy what looks good, then based on what it costs, I've had "4 figure flash" guitars and I now have 2 bass guitars and 4-5 electric guitars that were all around the $200.00 each price range, best guitars I ever owned, point is, I bought what I wanted and not what all the " Jones' " have to have, I want to play the thing, not, express my ego with it.

So, you bought what you wanted, and surely, you will be happy with your decision. Like my new gun I just bought, same thing, we were at the range today and the guys brought their high dollar fancy 12 gauge shotguns that they took the second mortgage out on just to hunt deer... now why in the world did everyone want to shoot my cute little $200 slug gun? And not just once, they were paying me for the shells just so they could shoot it, and all they wanted to know was, "Do they have anymore, think I could get one in 2 weeks?" And the grand question was, "How much was it?" The look on their faces was pretty funny when I said, "$199.00". They're like, "That's all?" LOL

I guess it's like name brand clothes, you're buying a name as well. You know, companies have to recoup the expenses of promotion and marketing and the consumer pays. So, go buy what you want and don't be so concerned about what the next guy has, let him go in debt.
