Aww, what a sad situation! I just adopted a boxer mix and she is a handfull so no more dogs for me. Hope he finds a great home.

I'll let you know, currenlty the dog is MIA, he broke off his chain again I'm told, I'll keep you posted. I'm hoping we find him soon.

Just looked at the pictures after posting - in the case of the dog being outside, is he outside all the time? If so, then he shouldn't be due to Winter coming. Boxers don't typically grow in thick Winter coats do they?

I know Boxy doesn't get a heavy Winter coat. Next month will be the 1 year Anniversary since we rescued Boxy. He's such a character! Loves to play with toys, gets super excited to see people, and he loves to run and retrieve. Boxy makes you feel special by how excited he is to see you <G>.

Well we are sharing Boxy. I see Boxy all the time.

WOW what an ordeal this poor dog is going through. First he was being kept primarily outside, so he's got some issues there. He broke loose, was missing for some time, then returned to his "owners". Owners were trying, and by trying I use that term loosely, they weren't offering much help and the MD boxer rescue wasn't able to transport the poor dog across state lines w/o the owner getting the dog rabies and mandatory shots. SO, home was found in VA for dog where on his FIRST night, the new owners, no one I know mind you, these brilliant owners decide to leave him loose in their home with their family beagle and apparently some other dog who visited their back door. Beagle attacks poor Bentley, Bentley does nothing until forced to defend himself and 3 dog brawl ends in family beagle being put down and Bentley is in custody of animal control. They have been evaluating him all week and have deemed he is not a threat and they are working to try and get him released by Friday. This is so exhausting and this poor dog pays the price.
