Dakota, good suggestion but we're passing through Waldorf on our way to NoVa and would prefer not to make a detour. I will keep Marie's in mind for another time. Thank you!

That's it... it is a chain restaurant... but you know, it might be their best bet since they are trying to stay in Waldorf.

Laplata is 8 miles below Waldorf. OP said they are going to Northern, VA. That would be across 228 to 210 or straight up 301/5 to 495.

If I were leaving SoMd and heading to NoVa, I would go to the Ranch House Restaurant in Oxon Hill. They have the least expensive and most delicious breakfast in the area. It's a diner type atmosphere.
