My guess is they'll probably be released tomorrow. The Iranians want to get as much press out of this as they can. Both the Russian and the Israeli media (Jerusalem Post) have been reporting for days that the US will launch air strikes at selected Iranian targets on Good Friday. They've even given a time-frame for the attacks to start. Not a word has been picked up by the US "liberal" media.

Maybe this is a calculated move, i.e. release hostages in a supposed goodwill gesture hours before you get bombed.

Far-fetched? Maybe. It makes as much sense as anything else I've read. Bush is in Crawford. Look back over the last few years, every major event has happened while Bush was away from Washington.

Saddam made this mistake before.. calling our bluff just before the zero hour. "OK, we'll comply we promise" Then the deadline comes and goes and no answer, no solution.. You see how well it worked out for him.

That's true. It could turn out the same this time but somehow I don't think so. Bush wasn't a lame-duck then. He had a high approval rating and a republican congress. And most importantly, he didn't have a long trail of f-ups. He doesn't even have a unified party behind him now.

He's arrogant enough to still do it, I agree. Why should he care? He's gone in 21 months, 16 days, and 19 hours.

But who's counting.

I'm confused forest,

I don't see anywhere that the British government confessed to being in Iranian waters or where the British government apologized to Iran. :confused:

Can you please cite that information from a credible source (Reuters, AP, BBC, MSNBC, FOX/Sky News).

Wow, and they didn't have to force Nancy to wear a veil, she did that all on her own.
Friggin traitor.

And I'm sure Nancy had nothing to do with them being released, but you know she's going to take credit because the Bush Adminstration isn't going to release what they did to force Iran's hand
