Breeding at the animal shelter!

I was at the pound yesterday and saw about twelve beagles. To top it off,they had put a male and female - not fixed - in a cage together and they were joined up,mating!! I said something likE who is the dumb azz who allowed this and they said the female was "probobly" already pregnant coming in,so who cares? Sickening. And as a side not..please,god,someone please pass this along..when selling/adopting out a dog,they are "spayed" note "spaded". Does this drive anyone else NUTS?!?!

Im glad Im not the only one that notices that! Spaded drives me nuts too!! Spelling and grammer can really tell you something about the educational level of that person.

That is horrible about the beagles at the shelter, and also about the careless employee, I think I would have talked to his/her manager. That is unacceptable.

Sorry for not specifying..I guess I assumed there is only one around for miles and we are all from St. Mary's and Calvert mostly..the one in Hughesville.

That just doesn't sound like them and as much as I've been there I've never seen that. Did you by chance catch a name of the person doing this?

whats the problem. If the dog is at the shelter they are either going to be put down, or adopted. If they get adopted they will be spayed (prego or not) before you can pick them up. either way, that was probably the last peice either dog will ever get.
