I believe Annapolis is the closest to us, don't know if I can still find the link or not.
Actually, the closest is...on base!

From what I understand, microbreweries are illegal in St Mary's (not sure about other counties), but since the base is Fed property, they can have a microbrewery.

Bad News....

My wife and I went to Brewing Grounds this morning. First time for me, second time for her.

We ordered two vanilla lattes and crumb cakes...

Here's the report card:

Lattes: B

Crumb Cake: C+

Customer Service: F-

The kid behind the counter was not curtious, didn't offer a thanks, and acted like he could care less whether we were there or at the 7-11 getting coffee.

Like I said earlier, my wife wasn't overly impressed by the place on her first visit. Today's visit made it pretty clear to me that they didn't need my business or my money.... Back to Wawa we go.... :ohwell:

Anyone have a menu?

I see someone already posted the menu. I go there all the time and think they are great. If someone has had a bad experience, I would say it is a fluke. Great folks!

I go there regularly but not frequently. I've never had a bad experience. In fact, quite the opposite. Always enjoyed it there - both food and atmosphere.

Im there just about every day, love the place, best coffee and bagels in town, nice shop friendly folks and live music every now and then...

It may have been a "fluke" as you put it. But, first impressions mean a lot when it comes to a new business. Their presentation of service didn't say "hope you come back", so we pretty much won't be.

I agree that first impressions do mean a lot. I don't mean to belittle your observation. I don't know what might have happened the times you were there. I know that the owner does read these boards, so I am sure he is looking into it. I hope that you will think about giving it another try and support local businesses.

My best,
Joe
