You're daggone right I watched!!! It was SOOOO insane. These brides were all having weddings running from $50,000-$100,000 and were spoiled brats. One chick was in therapy and seriously appeared to have a mental problem. Another, Karen, was just a flat out beyotch for the most part. It was a funny show to watch, but most of the hour I spent saying 'Oh Paaahhhleeeasseee'! I just can't imagine being all dolled up on my wedding day and boo-hooing and fussing at the hotel for the way the appetizers turned out. I mean, if crap gets effed up at that point, oh well! I'm going to completely enjoy my day and not sweat the small stuff - everything is NOT going to go perfect, it's just the way things are. If I have problems with how stuff goes about at the reception or otherwise, I'll deal with it after the day is over...these brides were a perfect example of INSANITY at it's best, lol!!

I did read the book the one chick held up called "Diary of a Mad Bride" and it was a total riot. I enjoyed that book and highly recommend it to any bride-to-be!

About 8 brides, a few were called 'princess brides' and wanted all the best jewels and expensive things. Others were called 'neurotic brides' and were picky and crazy about each issue. The rest were called 'obsessive brides' who called each vendor a zillion times a day. Just a brief synopsis of their planning and wedding days, and how out of control they all got.

I watched it too. :lmao: I hav been married for almost eight years now, and planned my 200 person wedding in 7 months and was never ever that freaked out! Heck, once I had the church and the hall for the date I wanted, I was set! The rest was easy!

Totally!!! I'm doing a 300 person affair, but had a year and a half engagement to plan. Even so, I'm not all flipping out over things. I'm a reasonable person, and most things are falling into place fairly easily. The wedding is important, but what's most important is BEING married...which only BARELY begins on that day...lol!

To get to the point that these ladies were I think you'd have to be a massively spoiled brat! $100,000.00 on a wedding? Crazy!

Oh I knowwwww it!! Even if I HAD all the cash I'd never ever spend it on one freaking day!! I'd buy more house, do a vacation, put $$ in a college fund...the list goes on and on! My wedding isn't costing NEARLY as much as any of those and I think it's gonna be pretty daggone nice!

Thats what I paid for my first house. I can't imagine paying more than 10K for a wedding under any circumstances. But thats just my opinion.

My wedding is more than 10K, and we're being very practical. Hard to stay under with 300 guests.

My wedding cost just a little over $5,000.00. It just boils down to who you know. The most expensive thing was my dress and veil. Both of them cost a little over $1,000.00. My flowers were the least expensive. $400.00 for them. I can't stand flowers. I told my husband that I would have rather taken a hanging basket down the aisle. We had just a little over 200 guest. Like I said its just who you know.

OMG, I watched the show of freak brides also. I can't imagine ever spending that much either....how ridiculous! Oh yeah, and can you believe the one chick at the jewelry store???? She conned her man into buying her that 15K necklace!!!! What a joke! Sounds like to me it was all about the money to them!

Yes, agreed. "When I saw her put that necklace on I knew I couldn't deny her. I love her with all my heart and never want to deny her anything!". Can you say :barf: :barf: :barf: !!

Yes, in general, that is a sweet statement...but it ain't 15K sweet, lol!! I'd KILLLLLL Dean if he spent that kind of cash on a necklace. I'd have made him return it and finish the basement instead, haahaa!!! Not that I don't like nice things like that, but I could have found a fabulous necklace for MUCH less than that!
