It did however cause massive traffic jams during "in between class" periods when students have their 10 minutes to get from one class to the next. And yes, the traffic jams usually last those full 10 minutes with only a few cars being able to get through.
Don't build a bridge. Its ridiculous. Motorists just need to learn that if they want to travel around the college during tranisiton periods, its usually quicker to go through the college than around it.

Seems kind of silly. Have there been problems there? Traffic backups or students being hit? Maybe a couple of crossing guards during peak hours would do it.

So where would this bridge be anyway? Between the library and the post office?
Frankly I think it's a dumb idea. I crossed that road three or four times a day for four years, drunk and sober.
Of course this is just the opinion of a single St Marys elitist.
belvak said:I'm with you! I too crossed that road many times in various states of sobriety and never had any problems. Of course, I would think there is a lot more traffic there now than there was in my time... Still, if the students don't have the "smarts" to know not to step out in front of a car...
Thor said:Yeah well there were some real brick heads when I went there, folks who would lean up against the wood stove at the green door in the winter. Real bright bulbs.
Lets keep it the way it is and call it natural selection.
basher said:BTW, at least if a student gets hit crossing the road, they don't have far to go to the hospital, but that hospital sucks, so they're still in trouble....
MMDad said:It's 6 miles from the nearest ambulance, and 15 miles from the nearest hospital. What are you talking about?
PrchJrkr said:I say give all the students jetpacks. Problem solved. JMHO.
