Bridge on 231

The bridge was opened in December 1952 as a toll bridge. It was a toll bridge for three years. Former State Senator Louis L. Goldstein introduced a bill in the General Assembly removing the toll. It passed and was signed by the Governor. The bridge is known as the Patuxent River Bridge on state records.

Nowadays they would make a killing and traffic would be backed up for miles....

Dont give them any ideas. With EZ pass and video tolling they could collect at the TJ and the 231 bridge with impunity.

MD is to stupid to put in the high speed scanners DE and other states use, speed limit would be dropped to 10 MPH
But hey, they could also write speeding tickets
Better yet, create some jobs for Baltimorons, put a booth in, as each driver for their license, registration and proof of insurance along with the $1 toll
Unless they look like they could be an "undocumented" citizen, then wave them thru.
