I was going to throw all that in there but didnt think he would understand that there is alot more to building a deck than just getting lumber and throwing it all together. I wonder if anyone has really priced pressure treated wood lately. Now they have a composite deck material they say last twice as long and requires no maintance. Price that, its about 4 times the cost of reg. pressure treated. I was quoted a price of 27.50 a sq.ft. useing that material, ill stick with the pressure treated as long as i can to keep the prices somewhere near what most people can afford.
