Bullying at school

So I received a call from the school principal today, my ten year old daughter was in her office, she hit a boy at school with a plastic bowling pin after this boy called my daughter a ###. This is the 2nd incident daughter has had with this boy and I believe she is being bullied. Of course, instead of reporting the incident, she lashed out and hit him. The first incident the boy called her a retard and she squirted him with hand cleanser. I was very upset over this incident for a couple of reasons. One being that she was violence and lashed out and hit him and the second was that the boy didn't receive any punishment. See..it's her word against his and there were no witnesses. So, tomorrow my daughter sits in in-school suspension while the name calling boy runs free. Any opinions?

Your daughter did wrong, she hit after being called a simple name. She should have called him a :gossip: (you know - boys hate being called THAT)

It wasn't a "simple" name, I guess it can't be posted here in the forum, that's why it was marked out. It was actually a name a boy wouldn't like to be called. It was not a name a ten yr old should know and to address the 2nd answer to the 2nd comment, No, she's an only child.

You only have 3 #'s. She is 10 years old and you think it is ok she banged him on the head with anything? 10 year olds know everything.

If you want to beat somebody's butt, you need to make sure there are no witnesses and deny it ever happened.

You asked!

He called her a fayg.

She needs to get all her friends to taunt him, because he obviously has a crush on her. (That's what boys do when they like a girl - they call her names and sometime hit her. Don't ask me why this is.)

"You think I'm gorgeous...you want to kiss me...."

Exactly, that would be perfect! :high5:

I just cannot believe stonecold is posting here like he called her a name and she should have been justified in hitting him. :ohwell:

Maybe that is what that officer's boyfriend did, called her a name, that is why she filled him with lead. :ohwell:

Whatever happened to:

"sticks and stones can break my bones but names will never hurt me"

Your daughter should be suspended for being violent.

Thank you for clearing it up!! That is exactly what he called her and NO I don't justify that fact that her hit him, I'm asking what people think of the fact that no punishment was given for name calling?

A cop told me that if you use a phone book to beat them, it doesn't leave any marks that can be traced to a weapon. :yay:

No witnesses and no omission of any guilt, a person could get away with that, but this girl is only 10, too soon to lie you think?

I think she's justified. You can't let these punks just run amok. You let the name-calling go, next thing they're stealing your lunch money, then all hell breaks loose. A good swift shot in the chops is just preventive medicine.

It happens and you know two wrongs don't make a right, vrai had the perfect advice for her. She can take her suspension day like a big girl and next time she'll know to stand up for herself.

See my above post and teach the concept to your daughter. Sing it along with her and learn together.

Oh geez, I hear kids saying that all the time. Even 10yr olds. Ghey and fayg... they don't even say it in a mean way most of the time. :ohwell:

If the daughter hit him she gets punished, bottom line. That's why I tell mine to hit really hard and make it worth it if they do. :yay:

Stealing lunch money is a different story. Bad words can be ignored. :buttkick:

Good gravy, the schools would be empty if every kid who called another kid a name were punished. With that said, if someone overhears the name calling the kid is usually punished.

I think you are over reacting just a smidge. Try and take a deep breath and think back to when you were a kid. Bet you called names and were called names.

It's not the end of the world that your kid got in trouble. They all get in trouble at some point. Sometimes it's their fault, sometimes it isn't. It builds character. :yay:

That's not true. In this case, two wrongs definitely made a right. I'd have hit him with a bowling pin, too. At least he's not squirting her with his juice box. I hear that's the true declaration of love among the elementary school set.

I am so sick to death of bullies getting away with it! If I was her Momma I'd give her a big high five and then the speech about political correctness.

People suck! Political correctness, sucks! She should be allowed to beat him within an inch of his everloving pathetic life!

I'm a lil bitter... Bully got the last word recently. It's not a crime, to wish he was dead.:lmao:
