This is why I say you're a supid ass moron.

You "right to life" conservatives go around clinging to your guns and religion supporting the government murdering (granted, it's not very common) innocent citizens.
This is why I know you're stupid: Even after being told I don't support killing innocent people, you continue to say that's my stance.

Must be your ADD.

I don't think telling them life is so invaluable as to be allowed to kill somoene for convenience makes them any better off.

That was not the goal I was going for...the goal was teaching women to respect themselves and in doing such limiting the chances of them getting pregnant to begin with. My goal is decreasing abortion by finding out and correcting the demand aspect not the supply aspect...which is I guess is pretty ideal in and of itself, right?

....
I don't know why they are foster kids.

That's the whole point of my question to you - we're not talking about the ability to place foster kids, or any kid other than infants.

So, how many were infants?

maybe if the mom had a(not going to say the word for the overally sensitive) but it rymes with smasmorchin there wouldn't be so many foster kids.

It is pretty ideal. But, as you stated, we're not dealing with an ideal world - we have to face reality.

The reality is, we tell our kids, our tweens, our young adults, and our adults that life is so unprescious, so undeserving of respect, that a person can end it before it's even out of the womb simply because the mom thinks it may harm her social life, or her job prospects, or her drinking late at night, or any damn reason she chooses. It's THAT meaningless.

Are you trying to say if the mom had an abortion there wouldn't be so many foster kids?

That's a possiblity. Any data to support that? Do the backgrounds of the foster kids in Andy's study meet, with great similarity, the backgrounds of people getting abortions?

Hey, maybe we should just allow the parents to kill the kids when they've become a problem? Like we do now with abortion? That would make as much sense!

Now you're starting to make sense! Animals kill their young when they turn out worthless, why not us?

So you're pro-choice and against capital punishment?
I'm not pro-choice for the 99.5% of abortions that happen - and I'm against the choice for rape but realize there has to be some give and take in laws vs. morals.

I'm for capital punishment for those that have earned it with their actions, and against the system being improperly used.

So, no, and no.

ADD must really be acting up - we've gone over this before in this thread.

You're right...if everyone was taught to respect all life in general and respect for fellow man then I think that would gradually decrease the demand for elective (as opposed to rape/medical need) abortion to such a small number that we would not need the government to restrict abortion.
I think teaching, as oppose to just making abortion illegal, is always the best way to go.

We can agree on that. I wish it wasn't so readily acceptable that it needed to be illegal, and that people put a higher value on life overall to the point where the numbers of non-needed dropped to effectively zero.

What about cases of rape and incest? :eyebrow:

Rape is usually solved by strong doses of morning after birth control....it is a standard thing given to victims if they wish.

If someone was forced into incest do you really think they are going to have the choice to have an abortion from the family member that was forcing (probably) themselves on them.

Sarah Palin: I would counsel life over the morning-after pill - and homosexuality is a choice | Mail Online

And both John McPain and Sarah Palin are opposed to funding programs aimed to curb and reduce teen pregnancies.

I'm against all government funding for sex ed and abstinence ed, its not the governments role and neither has been proven to provide any results so both are a colossal waste of money. Abortion is not even a federal issue (ie the states have the right to decide) but in our socialist government the President, the Supreme Court, and the Lawmakers do not know their bounds.

Notice I said its a state issue

For me, my stance has nothing to do with my respect for the sanctity of life... rather, it's a control issue.

I simply feel the need to control the reproductive freedoms of others. If I could, I would put a chastity belt on every man, woman, and child in this country (except, of course, for myself) opening them ONLY when procreation is desired, registered and approved.

I have developed my stance on the issue with premeditated spite and the utmost malice toward any freedom loving American.

Legal Disclaimer: Actually, my Pro-Life view stems from the fact that murder is universally illegal, and I see no reason for exceptions to those laws simply because the victim breathes fluid rather than air. I am Pro-Choice in that people can either choose not to ####, or they can choose to protect themselves if they do. Barring that they can choose to eat a morning-after pill. But once there is a baby, the choice is already made. And I don't think you can "unchoose".

Maybe Pro-Choice people should change their name to "Pro-Unchoice. It seems more accurate.
