Good on ya!Burn the Damn Masks
Good to meet you today, wish your place was closerMet new forum members today!
I plan on saving one mask and writing Covid19 Pandemic 20-21 on it and putting it in our scrapbook. I am hoping in time, I will have forgotten about it and will be shocked when I see the mask and remember why.I was really considering bringing masks down to burn but I came up with what I think is a better idea. Since my wife made about 600 masks and sold them for $5 apiece (gotta love capitalism and ignorant customers) I have asked her if she has some left. Seems she still has enough fabric cut out to make a couple hundred more. My idea was for her to make me a COVID-Quilt for those cold winter nights. After she stopped laughing she said its not a bad idea so it's a new project for her spare time.
Making memories, one panic stricken government farce at a time.
So how was the turnout?
She was next door checking out the Bbq contest at the Legion, making sure we didn't poison anyone......I was just there for the free food. ;-p
I was disappointed that Dr. Brewster didn't make it to the event.

For such short notice we were pleased with the turnout though we did expect more. I think many people were confused on if the mask mandate had really been lifted. Burned about 50 masks in total. Lots of honking and waving as cars went by - it was a beautiful day for people to just go out for a drive.I posted this in our FB feed and this thread got reposted on FB as well and it was far and away the most popular topic over the weekend with the most responses and engagements.

I was there!!What were you doing 1 year ago today? I remember customers coming in the store thinking it wasn't true they could take off their face diaper after more than a year of wearing it (off course you were never required to wear one in my establishment!). I saw at least 2 people in the store TODAY with it still on!
So was I. Sneakers was too...I was there!!
