You are typing quite well with one hand.
Don't worry about it.
Did you at least finish cooking dinner for the husband?

Superficial burn or first degree: This burn involves only the epidermis, or that outermost layer of the skin. Most people are familiar with this burn in the form of sunburn.
Symptoms/signs - Painful, red, area turns white when touched, no blisters, moist
Partial thickness burn or second degree: This burn involves the epidermis and some portion of the dermis, that second layer of the skin. This type of burn may be broken down into superficial or deep, depending on how much of the dermis (the second layer of skin) is involved.
Superficial symptoms/signs - Painful, red, area turns white to touch, mottling, blisters, moist, hairs still present
Deep symptoms/signs - May or may not be painful (so deep that nerve endings may be destroyed), may be moist or dry (so deep that sweat glands destroyed), may or may not turn white when area is touched, hairs usually gone.
Seek emergency medical care if you have any partial or full thickness burn that involves the genitals, eyes, ears, hands, feet, or burns over major joints regardless of size. Also seek immediate medical care for the following burns:
Any full thickness burn, for example, that looks dry, is painless, or looks charred
Any partial thickness burn that is more than twice the size of your palm

Geek, from WebMD:
If it isn't blistering bad, it's probably superficial. In my experience, the ice stops it from hurting as long as you have ice on it. Once you remove the ice, whether it is minutes or hours later, it will sting for 15-20 minutes. After that, the pain will diminish or stop completely.
If it is not a serious burn, I recommend that you take the ice off, grit your teeth and bear the pain for a little while, and be done with it.
Burn creams are supposedly a bad thing. Don't use it unless a doctor tells you to.
hurts out of water it looks yucky, but the raised white parts are small and in the shape of a handle. no fliud filled blisters. sort of raised thick white parts. thanks for the medical info.
I did the exact same thing a few weeks ago. I feel your pain.
Look on the bright side: if you burn your hand enough, you build up a tolerance and it stops hurting. My wife calls me asbestos hands because I can flip burgers or pancakes with my bare fingers.
is dunkin donuts opened yet?

I burned my thigh about two years ago with a curling iron. I was sitting Indian style on the floor and accidentally dropped the curling iron onto my lap. It melted my skin and you could see a few letters (CONAIR) on my leg. That shiat hurt like a mo fo for weeks!! I put aloe vera on it EVERY day and you CANNOT see a scar. Nada!!
It was when I drove by about an hour ago. Why?
