Awesome Clock! Now I will know exactly how much time I have to prepare for attack!

There will most likely be backlash but ya know what? Better now than continually for the next thirty years.

I thought the speech was straight to the point, and I was glad he sent a message to those listening in Iraq. I agree with Small that the word "thug" coming out of the president's mouth sounded a bit odd, but it was a point that needed to be sent across without sugar-coating it. I hope this war is swift and quick.

Nothing to see here
Dubya's speech was fine, short and to the point. Was pleased to see he said Saddam "and his sons", so many people(not those here) don't realize his sons are worse than him(imo). I don't understand all the carping over his delivery or speaking, some people seem to put more faith in a slick azzhole with bs than someone who just lays it out there. And, using 'thug' was perfect.

The thug thing just caught me as odd. There are things you say in conversation, and there are things you say when you are the president addressing the entire world. I would hope that if (god forbid) any of you became president, you wouldn't refer to guys like saddam as "Assclowns" and opposition as "peace queers"
But beyond that it was good. My only complaint is how he came out. He seemed too relaxed. I liked it better when he came out after the 9//11 incident. He made that turn down the walk way, shoulders up and tight and had that "i'm going to kick ###" strut going on. That walk alone would have made me nervous if I was al-qaida. I still get goose bumps whenever they show that on tv

If Bush came out and said, "We're going to send that Assclown straight to hell and the peace queers are next," I would :roflmao: and :notworthy:. I like a Prez that tells it like it is - we had 8 years of spin and it was beyond tedious. I nominate Bluto for Presidential speech writer. All in favor, say "aye".

And, ST, if Bush would have come out all cocky and bold, you'd have said that he's too brash and not taking this situation seriously. We know because we've seen you do it before.

Now it's time to take out the trash!

I thought the speech was near perfect. He delivered a tailored message to us, the Iraqis and the Iraqi Military (Get your white flags ready) and finally the bastard in charge.

The only thing I think he should have done differently... No free pass out of ground zero for SoDamn Insane and his two sons Uday and EBay.

Maybe we could find that plastic shredding machine and...

obviously you didn't read my post where I said I much prefered his attitude after 9/11. You people are a trip. Even when we pretty much agree on something, you still try to find ways to come after me. Oh well.

You're right - it was Maynard who said he's too cocky and brash. I apologize, ST - I get you libs mixed up sometimes.

again, confusion... no lib here. I am actually more on you side than you might think, I just don't have the right side telling me what I should think. I just don't agree with how we have handled saddam this time around. Party affiliations make people see things the way they party wants you to see them and you really want to believe it no matter what (kinda like religion, you are told what to expect and to think and you do it because you feel the ones telling you this are correct)
Just like there were a lot of dems who saw nothing wrong with clinton's personal life while in office.
