Coca-Cola Quietly Removes Black Lives Matter Support Amid Criticism From Ted Cruz

Coca-Cola appeared to delete a paragraph on its website that supported Black Lives Matter, coming as Black Lives Matter drew controversy for backing Hamas.

"Earlier this month, Sprite announced a $500,000 contribution to the Black Lives Matter Global Network in a social post committing action in the fight for racial justice. On June 28, the brand debuted a new TV commercial during the 2020 BET Awards telecast showcasing Black America’s resilience, excellence and optimism. The 60-second spot titled ‘Dreams Realized’ emphasizes Sprite’s commitment to making young Black creators’ dreams a reality and to inspire the next generation to do more and dream bigger," an archived version of the Coca-Cola-owned Sprite website page says.

A current version of the web page omitted that paragraph, suggesting the beverage giant deleted it. It appears changes were made to the web page on Oct. 20 and Oct. 21, according to Archive.org records.

Multiple BLM chapters celebrated and endorsed Hamas’ attacks on Israel, which resulted in over 1,400 people murdered and over 200 taken hostage. BLM Chicago posted a graphic of a Hamas paraglider captioned, “I stand with Palestine.” BLM Chicago responded to the backlash by doubling-down on their support for the Palestinian resistance against Israel, while not mentioning the Hamas terrorist attacks.

“Yesterday we sent out msgs that we aren’t proud of. We stand with Palestine & the people who will do what they must to live free. Our hearts are with, the grieving mothers, those rescuing babies from rubble, who are in danger of being wiped out completely,” the group posted.

Similarly, progressive student groups across America have found themselves embroiled in backlash over their endorsement of Hamas’ attacks.

Dozens of States Sue Meta, Saying It Knowingly Exploited Minors for Profit

Technology, Business, Meta, Public Health, Social Media, Big Tech, Instagram, Facebook

Summary from AllSides News Team

Dozens of state attorneys general sued Meta, the parent company of Facebook and Instagram, alleging the social media giant knowingly implemented harmful features and unlawfully misled the public about the safety of its platforms.

The Details: The main lawsuit, joined by 33 states and filed in California, argues that Meta “has profoundly altered the psychological and social realities of a generation of young Americans.” A press release from New York Attorney General Letitia James’ office said that while “Meta has publicly denied and downplayed these harmful effects,” its “own internal research documents show its awareness that its products harm young users.” Eight other states and Washington, D.C. filed separate similar complaints against Meta.

Meta’s Response: “We’re disappointed that instead of working productively with companies across the industry to create clear, age-appropriate standards for the many apps teens use, the attorneys general have chosen this path,” Meta said in a statement.

How the Media Covered It: Headlines often gave different numbers for how many states sued Meta; some said 41, 42, 33, “dozens,” or omitted the number entirely. Coverage was generally similar across the spectrum, but right-rated outlets appeared to cover the story less frequently on Tuesday afternoon.

The sneaky way businesses are scamming you into leaving a bigger tip — don’t fall for it

An expert is sharing the secret way businesses are attempting to squeeze extra cash out of their customers when they tip — and you shouldn’t fall for it.

Anger about leaving a large gratuity is surging amid “tipflation,” whereby touchscreens now suggest customers leave tips of up to 40%.

But one rep from the popular payment platform Square says that’s not the only way companies are trying to take your hard-earned pennies.

The Square spokesperson told Nexstar that some businesses sneakily include the sales tax when calculating the suggested tip– significantly raising the overall price of the recommended gratuity.

“Sellers decide whether tips are calculated before or after taxes,” the rep declared.

Target CEO: Conservatives Upset Over Trans Merch More Dangerous To Employees Than George Floyd Riots

Target, as admitted by Cornell, is still suffering from abysmal sales. Outraged shoppers took to social media back in May after discovering LGBT Pride clothing for children and a transgender “tuck-friendly” bathing suit at the popular retail chain. It was also later pieced together that a designer tied to merchandise featuring occult images and phrases such as “Satan Respects Pronouns” and “Trans Witches For Abortion,” designed some of Target’s PRIDE items.

Cornell told CNBC’s Squawk Box that the violence and looting witnessed during the George Floyd riots did not compare to the trans blowback.

“We’ve seen natural disasters, the impact of COVID, some of the violence that took place after George Floyd’s murder, but I would tell you, what I saw back in May, is the first time since I’ve been in this job where I had store members saying, ‘It’s not safe to come to work,'” the CEO claimed, adding that angry customers were engaged in “very aggressive behavior at store-level, lots of threats,” and “destroyed products.”

“They were very aggressive with our team members, personally threatening them, yelling at them,” Cornell said. “You know, they threatened to light product on fire in the store. … We’ve been celebrating heritage months, like PRIDE, for over a decade now, we’ve never seen this kind of response.”

Cornell suggested he had to pull the controversial merch from stores, not because of the devastating financial repercussions from the massive boycott, but for employee safety. “We had to prioritize the safety of the team,” he said.

Connecticut McDonald’s branch slammed for charging $18 for a Big Mac meal

A McDonald’s at a Connecticut rest stop is charging $18 for a Big Mac combo meal — and fast-food fans aren’t lovin’ it.

“This was at a rest stop, but these McDonald’s prices are nuts right???” wrote Sam Learner after posting a photo of the menu on Twitter on Tuesday.

The McDonald’s — located off Interstate 95 in Darien, one of the country’s wealthiest towns in upscale Fairfield County — also charges $19 for a Quarter Pounder with Cheese and Bacon meal or a Quarter Pounder Deluxe, both of which include medium fries and a medium soft drink.

Other eye-popping prices on the menu include $18 for a McCrispy sandwich, $18.29 for a 10-piece Chicken McNuggets and $16.59 for a Filet-O-Fish sandwich.

A cheeseburger, usually found on the $1 menu, is going for $17 for two.

On Grubhub, the items are even more expensive.

Why Is This Big Mac So Expensive?

Although management from the Darien I-95 McDonald’s location has yet to respond to any requests for comment about their prices, there are a few reasons why this particular location is able to set their prices so high.

The first has to do with their location. Chain restaurants available at rest stops already charge significantly more for their meals due to the cost of location and labor, plus being in a prime spot for travelers. Darien’s location is less than an hour outside of New York City lines, making it ideal for commuters or tourists who need a quick breakfast or dinner as they head in or out of the city.

Rest areas such as the one in Darien are owned by the state’s Department of Transportation, which could come with extra fees to pay for that location. This particular rest area is listed as a Connecticut Service Plaza and offers a variety of food, shopping, and service options for travelers.

However, if you were to compare Darien’s prices to a service plaza just down the road in Milford, the prices are still vastly different. According to Uber Eats, a Big Mac combo costs $17.39, which is $3.50 cheaper compared to Darien. And if you were to actually exit off the highway, the meal gets even cheaper at just $11.59 at the location in Milford on Post Road.

So are other restaurants getting away from the same type of price inflation? Looking at prices at other chains available in Darien, it seems that not everyone is taking advantage of the location compared to McDonald’s. Dunkin’ in Darien is offering the same prices compared to Milford’s service place; a Bacon Egg and Cheese on a bagel costs $9.23 in both locations, according to DoorDash.

In conclusion, what does this mean for Big Mac lovers on the road? If you’re looking to save money and you don’t want to deal with the preposterous prices you see at a rest area, it may be best to actually exit off the highway and find a location in a town nearby. The prices are likely significantly cheaper, and without all of the other travelers rolling through, the lines could even be shorter.

McDonald's customer SLAMS the fast food chain for 'not having a single $1 item on its dollar menu' - as she rages at the burger giant for allowing its prices to 'get out of hand'

  • Anne Arroyo, from Ohio, has slammed McDonald's for hiking its prices
  • She shared a clip on video that showed the 'dollar menu' had no $1 items
  • People on the web echoed her frustration

A McDonald's customer has voiced her fury at the fast food chain for not having any items priced at $1 on its 'dollar' menu - as she raged over the 'out-of-hand' price increases that the burger giant has implemented over the past few years.

After making a recent trip through the chain's drive-thru, Anne Arroyo, from Ohio, took to TikTok to share her frustrations with McDonald's with her followers.

She showed that although the fast food restaurant advertised a 'dollar menu', every item was priced above $1.

'McDonald's has a dollar menu right now without a single item that costs $1,' she said in the video that showed a close-up of the food available for purchase.

In the clip, Anne showed that the dollar menu features fountain beverages, frozen drinks, and iced coffee options.

Soft drinks and iced tea were priced at $1.29, while iced coffee and frozen beverages were $2.

She captioned the clip: 'McDonald’s pricing is getting out of hand. How are you going to call something a dollar menu and put $1, $2, $3, right next to that when there are no $1 items?

'This isn't even a McDonald’s in a nice area.'

McDonald's first introduced their $1, $2, $3 menu in 2018. It offered four items priced at $1, such as a sausage burrito, the McChicken, a cheeseburger, and your choice of fountain drink.

Target Promotes ‘GayCruella’ To ‘LGBTQIA+ Segmentation Strategist’ Amid Abysmal Sales From Pride Backlash

Screen Shot: Erik Thompson/LinkedIn

Target has appeared to double down on its acceptance of radical gender theory despite a second straight negative sales report following backlash to its Pride-themed products earlier this year.

Target reportedly selected a man named Erik Thompson as its Senior LGBTQIA+ Segmentation Strategist and Pride Lead, according to a post he shared on Instagram that was flagged by popular X account Libs of TikTok. Thompson, who goes by “gaycruella” on the social media platform, shared with followers that he was “honored” to accept the role.

“Time to whip out the Glitter & Hellfire flamethrowers and rip that old world to shreds darlings,” the self-described Target corporate employee shared. “Let’s flip that script and rewrite that narrative. This time for ~ALL Guests, ALL Humans & ALL Hearts.”

A post featuring Thompson’s announcement was shared on X, which prompted many to react to the news on the original post. One commenter asked, “lol you gonna make Targets sales tank too?” to which Thompson responded, “Yes. Yes I will make sales tank,” with heart and kissing emojis.

🔥 NOT SHOCKED. The UK Daily Skeptic ran a story yesterday headlined, “Billionaire Funds the Guardian to Tune of $116 Per Reader of Print Edition.” According to the story, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation has “granted” over $82 billion dollars to British media alone.

image.png

You want to understand how the Corporate Media works? That list is the British version of the Corporate Media.

You could argue — you could, I wouldn’t — that there was some philanthropic purpose to Gates’ grants to the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), which pretends to be a public charity. But you can’t make that argument about The Guardian, The Telegraph, or the Financial Times. They’re not charities. They’re news corporations. Those grants were transactions, trades. Gates was buying something. Something like influence.

Gates is buying, and the media is clearly selling. And … if media will turn tricks for billionaires to this extent, just imagine how the media whores itself out to government.

Media companies are only the beginning. Since 1999, the Gates Foundation “donated” over $4.7 billion to the World Health Organization and its various agencies. That’s a case of billionaires not funding media but government itself. Why? Why aren’t taxes sufficient? The article reported from a much more fulsome exposé about billionaire influence on British climate politics that published this month titled, “‘Clean Air,’ Dirty Money, Filthy Politics - the Big Bucks behind the UK’s anti-car policies and air pollution panics.

The report is well worth a read, even if a bit long; but it’s not uninteresting, and whatever these billionaires are paying UK governments and companies is probably just a drop in the bucket compared to what they’re up to over here in the United States.

I could only find one quibble about the ‘Dirty Money’ report’s conclusions. The report’s authors suggest that billionaire ‘philanthropy’ is rooted in ideology — personal political preferences — rather than from charity. I agree Bill Gates is not focused on charitable aims. But I disagree that he is wholly ideologically driven.

It’s about the money.

First, the “foundation” entity — used by billionaires everywhere — enjoys massive tax advantages. It’s much better than a traditional non-profit. And every dollar jammed into the foundation is a tax deductible dollar. Then foundation money can be used to buy official policy by influencing government officials (e.g. grants to the WHO) and by influencing media for positive coverage especially among easily-influenced leftists (e.g. grants to the BBC).

And that is where the rubber meets the road.

Before the smart billionaire starts investing in his government and media grants to influence, for example, the promotion of insect protein consumption, he has already invested in bug food manufacturing plants. And his plants have proprietary features that in five years will become requirements in multimillion-dollar public requisitions for cricket lasagna and other buggy MREs.

Where do you suppose the Gates Foundation got $82 million dollars to spend on British media grants? That’s nearly a hundred million dollars on newspaper ads. Don’t be naíve — Gates didn’t use his own money to buy the British media. That’s your money, dummy. The whole thing is a giant money wheel of influence, where billionaire oligarchs like Gates and Soros dump a handful of coins on the wheel, spin it around, and unload gold bars smelted from your tax dollars.

Rinse and repeat!

Consider the climate scam. None of these oligarchical idiots cares about the climate at all. Please. Don’t make me laugh. They intend to force us to buy windmill rotor blades at a million bucks a clip. Suckers! Fifty percent margins! And they plan to sell us mandated ‘disposable’ electric car batteries — every three years, to every single driver — at ten grand a pop. SEVENTY percent margins, thanks to slave labor!.

But don’t lose focus. We can complain about billionaire oligarchs all we want, but at bottom the real problem is the erosion of previously-commonly-agreed Judeo-Christian values which used to restrain this type of obvious, late-stage-capitalism, looting of the treasury. Our second president John Adams presciently warned us when he said, ”Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.” Indeed.

If things were working right, Bill Gates would be shamed out of polite society and shunned by all right-thinking people. Media would be embarrassed and frankly terrified to take any money from him. Otherwise, the grasping media and government types who took Bill Gates’ bloodstained bucks, would also get the Gates treatment and be shunned, ostracized, canceled, and banned.

Bring back shame.

Jordan said that the BoA gave the FBI a list of all individuals who had made purchases in the D.C. area around January 6 “without any legal process.”

“Documents obtained by the Committee and Select Subcommittee show that the FBI also provided BoA with specific search query terms, indicating that the FBI was ‘interested in all financial relationships’ of BoA customers transacting in Washington D.C. and that had made ‘ANY historical purchase’ of a firearm, or those who had purchased a hotel, Airbnb, or airline travel within a given date range,” Jordan said.

The bank has said that it handed over the information in a legal process that was begun by the Department of Treasury. Jordan said the records the committee had so far viewed indicated that the FBI was the agency that reached out, not the Treasury Department.

“As a result, it is unclear what ‘legal’ process permits the FBI or BoA to share the sensitive customer information of potentially thousands of BoA customers and implicate them in a federal law enforcement investigation without any clear criminal nexus,” he wrote.
