NBC Nightly News (if u can believe it) just reported that the levee board spent $$ on a $1.5 mill. fountain, $15 mill. on two overpasses to access a gambling riverboat, $45K to dig up dirt on a local radio DJ who was critical of the board..... Money that was supposed to be used on the levees.

I cannot wait for the commission and hearings that are going to bust these losers!!

You know, I enjoyed rr's posts and debates before he decided to become a democrat. He has now somehow become so brainwashed it's pitiful. Not even worth posting with anymore. :ohwell: Too bad because the dems could use an influx of smart young people with common sense who won't overlook the facts.

:yeahthat: Do you actually think anyone is going to take the fall for this? Ha, Ha Ha Ha. That's probably why Bush had the balls to get up and take the blame for this one, no one else is.

The problem is: the mainstream media is so liberally biased, they'll constantly deliver a left jab; over and over and over. They'll whitewash the failure of the state and local government's services to provide adequate evacuation procedures for their own people, failure to invite federal help, etc., etc.

But they will not hesitate to underscore how slow the federal government was in reacting to this disaster. Well you freaking dummies, if they hadn't misspent all these funds years ago, maybe the levees wouldn't have all failed - either!

That's why ABC is currently in the middle of a night chocked full of "Evil Bush - Poor Nagin" commentary.

Koppel, in his closing remarks on "Primetime", just mentioned how widespread Katrina's effects were... but he chose to focus on N.O. He noted how Mississippi's emergency plan worked, but that of Louisiana failed.

Interesting... it was the same FEMA in both states. Bush gave due attention to each state. So what is the difference? Hmm... the answer went clear over his head.

Here, maybe you will take more faith in this one:

FOX News Poll: Post Katrina, Bush Job Rating at Record Low

Today, 41 percent of voters approve and 51 percent disapprove of President Bush’s performance, which is the lowest job rating he has received in a FOX News poll. The president’s approval rating is down 4 percentage points from two weeks ago (45 percent, August 30-31), around the time the magnitude of Katrina’s damage was becoming clear. Before the hurricane, 47 percent approved and 44 percent disapproved (July 26-27).

Sometimes the liberal media gets it right.

P.S. -> The Wall Street Journal leans conservative
