Ted Kennedy is so pickled with booze, he will probably live until he's 100 years old; just like that Senator from the south?

Robert Byrd?

They will both be around until the next bicentennial - oh shait!

I forgot Shrillary Clinton! :lmao:

Haha! After the speech, ABC was interviewing evacuees about the speech. All of these evacuees were proud of the speech and then when questioned who they blame, they started blaming local officials for not using the federal funds they had been given properly. ABC couldn't quit interviewing them fast enough to go back to the blame the federal government game with the talking heads. These people LOVED Bush's speech. :lmao:

Why should Joe Sixpack really give a d**n about poll numbers? (serious question)
If the president does poorly in a hastily conducted poll how is going to affect me? Any poll or survey can be misleading because the numbers can be skewed to achieve the desired effect. Trevor Bothwell did an article on this practice that was in the "In my opinion" section.
The response at the federal level, gas prices and Iraq, seems to have everyones panties in a bunch, now that being said, why should the president care about what people think? It is not like any thing he did or did not do is an impeachable offense. He cannot be re-elected. The only reason he would care (to me at least) is to try and save face for the gov't and the republican party. I'm sorry but being a LEADER is not a popularity contest, to be won by kowtowing to special interests or people who want America to be a socialist utopia. :blahblah:
