What is the best cable modem to get for Comcast cable. I am thinking of going with Motorola SB5120. Are there any which may be better or ones to stay away from? I just want to get a good one. Tired of my slow dial up speed.

The Motorola SB5120 has been a very reliable modem for me for quite some time now. I recommend it without hesitation if you're bumping up to the high-speed arena.

I'm not sure. It's one from GMP and it doesn't work all that great.

I think that's what I have at home, new in the box. Comcast's website said cable was available in my area, so I jumped at one of their offers. Now I have a modem ($79.99 retail) and no use for it. If anyone is interested in it for 25% off the cost of new, PM me, otherwise I'll list it in the classifieds.

I just rent mine from Comcast. Seems like reasonable insurance.
