I thought the opening act, ALternate Routes, were VERY good. I bought the CD, and REALLY like it. They aren't the same style of music as the Doobies, so the promoter could have done a better job and I can see how many Doobie Fans wouldn't like them, but all in all, I thought it was a great night!

I din't realize that there was only one original member. They all looked old enough, 'cept for the keyboardist, to be original members. I was never a fan but liked the music.

Did anyone else that went notice how much the bass guitarist resembled "Grady" from "Sanford and Son"? Grady can play!

Although my wife liked the group Alternate Routes, I really didn't get into the music. The fact that we were sitting packed in like sardines didn't help matters much. Just before the group finished, my wife decided she couldn't sit there anymore. We left to get something to eat and when we returned we sat back further in the Orange section. Most people from that section had left to get a closer look. Being able to sit more comfortable, we were able to enjoy the Doobie Brothers portion of the concert.

The food was good and we got quite a bit for the price. Lenny's had the best food booth IMO.

:lmao: I hear that. I wanted to know how was his hair. When I think of In Living Color and Jim Carey doing Vanilla Ice that image of how long his bang was just gets me. :killingme

Crap, even saw Alman Bros there in a torrential downpour with wind, lightening and thunder and the sound never went out, crackled or faded and sounded 10 times better than it did for the CSN show.

I was at the Allman Brothers show too with a friend of mind. OMG, it was a night to remember! The hell with the sound system - we were too worried about getting hit by lightning and getting absolutely drenched. :jameo: We both made a vow that night to never wear sheer light-colored shirts to an outdoor concert EVER again. :blushing: :lmao:

Thanks for the info! :howdy: We are going with another couple and we had planned to get something to eat before we went in. Probably a good idea from the sound of things.

Hope we have a good time - I'll let you know.
Dry dock is my choice of restaurants.

The sound for that show was absolutely horrible. I saw concerts before that, and after that, that were MUCH better. Crap, even saw Alman Bros there in a torrential downpour with wind, lightening and thunder and the sound never went out, crackled or faded and sounded 10 times better than it did for the CSN show. Even the guys in CSN made a few comments about it during the show. It was ridiculous.
