2nd shooter in custody.

Triage site set up near 231.

Trying to catch exact location of this overall scene. You can bet this one will be in the newspapers!

It's possible that this is a tranining sceanerio, but the excited voices sure don't sound like a drill.

I remember hearing something on the radio saying a big training event would be going on sometime soon with simulated gunfire and all local authorities being involved.

Hopefully thats all this is

would it be on the scanner for all to hear and freak people out if it is just a training?

Yes, it would. They use all the same comms for training events. No commentary that would indicate a training event as far as I have heard so far. But it's possible.

Isn't there some training thing going on over there sometime soon?

Yes:

On Friday, December 28, 2007, the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office will be conducting a large-scale training exercise at the College of Southern Maryland-Prince Frederick Campus. Members of the Maryland State Police and local fire and EMS personnel will also participate in the exercise.

Citizens should be aware that this is a realistic training exercise and they may see police and fire department personnel responding to the scene and they may hear simulated gun fire or other loud noises in the area. The exercise will begin at 7:00 a.m. and will end by 3:00 p.m.

If it is happening at the fair grounds then that would most likely mean it is a training wouldn't you think? I pray it is and no one is really hurt.
