They're gradually changing history to try and convince everyone that he was "in class during the event." The new narrative is that he was there and in class when the shooting took place, but he himself has said that he found out about it on social media and a number of his classmates have said his revised story (that he was right there! interviewing other students while it happened!) is bullshit.
this was the last thing I heard, he rushed back to the school to cry on camera how traumatized he was from almost being shot ....
IMPLYING he had been Onsite During the shooting - those of that questioned his story were - of course - accused of heartless behavior for NOT believing his crocodile tears - something about crisis actor accusations

DNC Chair Ken Martin has responded by saying that the party’s longstanding position is that it is the role of primary voters to determine candidates for the general election.

However, Martin also praised Hogg for his “passionate” activism.
“David Hogg is a passionate advocate ,and we are grateful for his service to the Democratic Party, whether it be in his role as a D.N.C. vice chair or in an outside capacity,” he said.
