I need to see yellow dog Dems die out and not be replaced. Mindlessly voting for *any* Party is stupid, but the Left is famous for it and has perfected it to a cult art. If voters voted on the issues and had no Party affiliation, Democrats would be down to like 25%.
So anyway, I don't think Hogg will splinter the Party. Democrat voters look for the D and only the D, they don't care or even know who it's attached to. You look at some of these Democrat politicians and it's like, how the frick did that person get elected??? I understand House members and Mayors - if their district/city is a ghetto shithole, voters are going to elect someone like them. That's how a Tiffany Henyard happens. Or an Ilhan Omar. But Senators?? Is the whole state retarded??? And the answer is no, only some of them are retarded - the rest are going for the D and not looking at anything else.

The portly Gov. Pritzker is now competing in a speech to New Hampshire Democrats to be the party’s angriest man in the room (of course, when his family is not running Harvard University into the ground with the anti-Western pedagogical trash and open tolerance of campus bigotry).
But there is a certain self-defeating, almost Elmer Fudd quality, overlying these Democratic party contretemps.
In large part, progressives still don’t get why their brand is so toxic, with about only 1 in 5 voters approving of Congressional Democrats.
The Democratic Socialist Party is making pretty good progress at taking over the larger Democratic Party.

Democrats have been a bunch of Commies for as long as I've been aware of the world around me, so at least since the late 70s. They went from being the KKK to being Communists, which still subjugates non-whites but just in a friendlier way. They can make it sound like They Care®.
TRUTH: Black people and Black families are hit hardest by Democrat policies. But I think they're starting to see the light as the LBJ Great Society generation is dying off and young people are looking around going, "Hey....wait a minute...."
