The call was not made and either way it would not have made a difference. I was impressed with Washingtons showing neverless, a much better game than I expected.

How can you even dismiss injuries? Portis, Cooley, Betts, Haynesworth, Hall and Randel El all being injured cannot be understated.

You have the same very good head coach and same all pro caliber starting qb in the time we have gone through 6 head coaches and not one pro bowl caliber qb.

I have no conclusive data to back this up but, unless you have someone who can actually move the ball upfield a few yards, I am ALL for telling the punt coverage team to not touch a soul and fair catch every single punt. Other than that, the fumble risk along with the inevitable inability of some young, college educated millionaire to not be able to tell front from back of a fellow human being while blocking just makes punts, to me, more stress than they are worth.
