Can anyone recommend a Divorce Lawyer?

If you are looking in St. Mary's County, I would recommend Bryan Dugan or Sam Baldwin. But make sure you get Sam Baldwin, and not the young associate, Troy Hansen, as he only has about 2 years of experience. In Charles County, I highly recommend John Mudd or John Ray!

But wait, there's more...
I suppose "Until death do us part" is just words. :disgusted:

In some parts of the county, it's "for as long as love shall last."

Vrai -- you really need to be hitting up the divorce lawyers to take out advertising on your site! After all, Valentines Day is almost upon us! :lmao:

Thanks for all of the referrals. I am doing searches, but sometime's it's nice to hear someones personal experience.
My friend and her husband are going to therapy, but I don't think it's going to pan out. She's really trying, but from what she says, he's not putting forth the effort so be easy on her. She wants to meet with a lawyer to get her bases covered and I would too if I were in her situation.

Thanks again!

I would NOT recommend Sue Ann Armitage. I know a guy who is using her for his divorce, the whole thing should have been over in April '07 which was the 1 year of separation anniversary. To this day, he still hasn't gotten any phone calls back from her, he's still married, and his "wife" is still holding that over his head! The "wife" is screwing up his credit so bad everyday and it should have been over. Everytime he calls Sue Ann's office, the front desk girl answers and, of course, she doesn't know anything about the situations, she can just pass messages on. It's frustrating. Come on...the woman was paid a retainer and has a job to do. If she can't handle her workload, she needs to stop taking cases on.

I don't even know what an mpd is! I got red because I voiced an opinion that was different than the concensus...that's funny! :lmao::shrug:

What'd he do?

I used Joe Capristo but all I needed was a facilitator and paperwork signer rather than a foot-on-their-throat divorce lawyer. Not sure if he even handles divorces anymore.

best lawyer ever! Would use him for anything!

My best friend married an absolute jerk. I'm helping her find a good divorce lawyer in Southern Maryland and I would appreciate any recommendations. I'm asking around at work too, but most people so far haven't been happy with the lawyer they used.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Yes he does but he really screwed up my divorce but it benefited me...He was my exhusbands lawyer...and I called the day after my ex to get a appt. and after having a consultation and him telling me what he could get for me and how bad it could be for hub...he realized he was representing my ex. so he ended up having to facilitate it for the both of us at no charge! So I got a free divorce...the ex and I had pretty much come to agreement on things anyway and really helped not having to pay a thousand dollars for something that really just needed to be signed and notarized.

I had a friend who used Sam and that is what happened, they met with Sam, thought Sam was going to represent them and Troy was the one who later showed up and did most if not all the work. Which he was just too green at the time to handle and it showed.
