My brother has a time share in that area somewhere, and seems to like it alot. You have worked so hard trying to find somewhere in the world to spend time with your hubby. I hope your trip is perfect, and wish you Godspeed.

Oh, and you probably saw me post this before, but your pup is beautiful!

I looked at that one and I liked it, but if I'm not mistaken, it's couples only and we're going to have our 14 year old daughter with us. We picked one this morning, then I changed my mind. This one is our final decision.

Oh wow, I'm actually not sure, I thought our neighbors had just taken her 2 kids there and they were 18 and 22? Maybe I'm mistaken, I've only been w/ my husband and it was a surprise trip.

The one we picked is really cool, has the suite where the dolphins swim right by your patio.

OMG, that would be amazing !! I would love that !! I really wanted to see the dolphins on the few times I've been to the Caribbean and to Cancun but it was never an option.

STEELERS NATION!!
I went to Cancun for my honeymoon. We stayed at a place called the Sun Palace. It was awesome. There were 4 other palace resorts, we were able to go to any of them and eat, drink and hangout all day if you wanted. We just had to go back to ours to sleep. We went all-inclusive which I think is the only way to go. Our hotel had 4 resturants in it and quite a few bars. It was great to eat and drink and just get up and leave when you were done. We went to one called the Moon Palace one day and that place was unbeliviable. It's something you should check into.

We went with Apple too, and I agree with others, they were great.

We've rented cars for a couple of our trips, but after getting pulled over once by the local yokels and extorted for all the money in my wallet, we found it cheaper just to use the local cabs or resort transportation.

Agreed, I'd never rent a car in Mexico. Get a price from the cab driver before getting in and cab it to/from the hotel if there isn't a shuttle available. We were on a business trip in CA and a coworker drove our rental car from CA to Mexico, which was forbidden by the rental company. He got pulled over (no reason given) and the police simply said that for $500 they'd let him go. If he didn't give it to them they'd arrest him for bringing the rental car into Mexico. What?! Anyway, he was by himself and they were waving machine guns in his face so he went to the ATM and got the money.

That place looks amazing! I've been to Riviera Maya/Playa Del Carmen and loved it. We had no issues other than the leeches at the airport but that's the norm pretty much everywhere we've travelled out of the states. Have an amazing time!

When I worked in Southern Ca. years ago we would drive down into Mexico. Prior to crossing the border you had the option of buying insurance for your car for the day. It was highly recommended. There were insurance companies on the Mexican side for a lot cheaper but you get what you pay for. We would bypass Ti Juana and go to Rosarito Beach or Ensenada which was about an hour south of the border. I was trying to park once in Ensenada on the street near Hussong's Cantina. When I got out of my car there was this kid about 10 years old that asked me if he needed him to watch my car. I said no thanks. He said, "Sir, you need me to watch your car". I tore a ten dollar bill in half and gave him half. I told him he would get the other half when I returned. 4 hours later I got to my car and that kid was still there waiting. My car was still there. I gave him the other half of the ten. Money well spent!
