WASHINGTON (AP) -- A man crashed his vehicle into a security barricade at the U.S. Capitol on Monday, ran into the building and was arrested, forcing the complex to briefly be locked down, authorities said.

Is anyone else astounded that he made it into the building without getting shot??

What kind of security do they have there exactly? They felt no threat from a person crashing their truck into a barricade then running for the building??

You won't konw about the bomb strapped to their waist until after the boom..

Evidently you didn't read the article....It said that the man RAN to the Capitol....Big Head Kennedy doesn't run...Now I CAN see him crashing his vehicle into a barricade....(Drunk)

WTOP is reporting he was armed.

Definately should have been shot. Somebdy needs to be fired over this.

Maybe we should have Syrians guarding the White House. :elaine: It seems as if all the other countries can shoot to kill but the one country heading the GWOT can not do anything for fear that sooner or later someone will say that the suspect has rights. It should be a simple "vehical don't stop=weapons drawn and cmemence firing".
