EXCELSIOR SPRINGS, Mo. -- A car slammed into a house in Missouri late Monday night landing on top of a 14-year-old boy.
A woman driving a Ford Focus was headed downhill when she lost control of the car, went down a ravine and became airborne. The car flew over a pickup truck and into the boy's bedroom. It landed on top of him, but he didn't suffer any serious injuries.
"He's doing pretty good. He's got about five stitches in his upper forehead and some second-degree burns on his feet. But he's doing pretty good and keeping his humor. He's a pretty strong kid," said Thomas Hoye, the teen's father.
The boy was released from the hospital. Investigators said the driver may have had a medical problem before the crash. She remains hospitalized.
