 I do before care (one kid) and drive a neighbors kid too. Plus I have to drive my oldest, and three other kids to middle school that is a mile and a half away. We all leave at the same time. I drop the younger kids first and pull back around to get the older ones. Just makes it easier.
Plus, I live in Bannister. Enough said, huh.

It makes sense...now.

Oh, and I don't know where/how Bannister is..I'm just going by the number of kids thing.

Yes, that's eight, count'em, eight kids I drive around every morning. That's including little Celie that's just along for the ride.:banghead::whack::jet::twitch:

my kids will be in a 5pt as long as they can fit in one. When I found out I was pg we decided we would be buying the britax even if that was all the kid had! He can live with out 100 toys but I was NOT going to skimp on his carseat! Sure he might fit in some boosters but if he can still go in a 5pt which is safer why would I move him?

Dang, my daughter is a true beanpole in comparison here. The Swede from her father's side definatly shows!

She's 10, just over 5 ft tall (past my shoulder and I'm 5'8") , and only weighs about 75 lbs. Doc says she's healthy, and the child has an appetite. She just doesn't gain weight.

Kids tease her and call her beanpole, string bean, etc. I told her "wait until High School when half the girls are on diets and there you are able to eat anything and not gain an ounce."

You can quote facts and expert advice all you want. But not every parent no matter how loving they are to thier children can afford a $250 car seat.

The Kyle David Foundation provides car seats to families that cannot afford the higher priced car seats with 5-point straps. Go to their website and make a request if you cannot afford one and want one for your child.

My question to the mass car seat manufacturers and retailers is why aren't THEY making/selling them? The makers of more affordable car seats (Graco, Safety-1st etc) do not sell a seat that goes higher than 40 pounds (though Evenflo just came up with one that goes up to 50 pounds-yay). We all care about our children no matter what our socioeconomic status is. Why aren't we asking the manufacturers to provide these options on a broader scale? I come from the opinion that if the market demands it, the manufacturers will respond.
