I am actually quite depressed lately because it has been over a month since I have seen my boys! My family sold our house and relocated to North Carolina, i'm stuck here until my lease is up on my boyfriend's apartment (two more weeks!!!), then were moving down. The boys went ahead with them so we don't have to pay out the ass to have them in the apartment. I miss them dearly and their quirks. My mom called last night to say they had severe storms with tornado activity and that Norman cried all night, he has never done that! It broke my heart.

:huggy: I'm sorry to hear that! Poor guy probably misses you too! It won't be much longer!

What is the attraction to NC?? You are like the 6th or 7th person I know that has up and moved down there! My girlfriend just moved her entire family down there, including her daughter and grandchildren! Making me think I need to start working on selling my house!

Nah, I love my house, I could never get a house that I like this much down there. Good Luck when you go! :howdy:

My dad was tired of the commute to DC, and surrounding cities, and tired of the hustle and bustle and sometimes rude people around DC. So he put our house on the market thinking it wouldn't sell this summer, it sold in a month to our suprise. With the money he sold the house with here he bought three down in a small town called Erwin. One for my parents, one for my sister and one for me.. and then retired lol. I'm more excited about having my own house so I can be a foster mom to the local cat rescue down there. I think the boys would be great foster brothers, Norman has already taught Winston so much about being a cat, considering he was stuck in a cage for his two years of life. I really will miss it here though, been in CC since 1990ish.

Not me bud! I would shake this place in a heartbeat if my husband would follow. I absolutely hate it here! Too much violence, too much drugs, not enough education for my kids, and no mountains! I miss the mountains of TN! The only thing I like here is my house. Other then that, this place really bites! But hubby won't leave his gooberment job that he's had for 22 yrs. He can't get that seniority back if he leaves it. I keep telling him he could probably make twice as much money somewhere else but he won't listen to me. What can you do?

Oh that must put you between a rock and a hard place. Our situation kind of does too. My dad is actually my step-father. All his family relocated from various parts of Maryland to North Carolina (except for his Mennonite sister who is in Nanjemoy) and my mom and I, our family is all in Northern Virginia, so were making some sacrifices as well. That not too bad hour drive to visit for the weekend will now be 5-6 hours. And let me just put it this way, i've never actually felt like a member of his side of the family, and he's been my dad since I was two and have his last name! Their crazy!

I feed my cats the california natural chicken and rice formula and they seem to like it so far

I feed my Snowshoe, Blu, Nature's Recipe or Castor and Pollux dry food only. He does get baked chicken and green beans on occasion.

My two cats eat Purina (the one for all ages). They each get about 1/2 c. in the morning and the same at night. Every few days, I'll split a can of Friskies between them as a treat.

That's exactly what we feed all our cats (except the kittens) but they're allowed to eat whenever they feel like it since we have so many running around the farm. We fill up two 10 lb. self feeders and give them Friskies in the morning and at night. :howdy: It must work because the kitchen pantry is always full of cats eating. :lmao:
