Still one of the best deals out there.I understand people are house poor and I'm not throwing stones at the Charles County education system but I believe that the Teachers have a better oppertunity to inter act with the students in an environment that is less restrictive an a little more nurturing.

I do not agree with religion in schools. But, I do not believe in the Catholic religion either. So, I'm exiting this thread. :yay:

Many non-catholics go to the schools today. :howdy:

Catholic schools probably offer a barely better education than their public school counterparts, but not enough of a difference to warrant the tuition. They sure as heck do nothing to teach the Catholic faith (well, at least not where I grew up, and where my nieces now attend). Can't speak for the schools here.

Often enough the qualifications for educators are more lax than the public school requirements. As for the religious education component that probably varies from parish to parish. There are pluses and minuses. I've chosen to send my children to public school and give them their religious education at home and through parish CCD.

I have friends that did send their children to a Catholic but transfered them to a Private School - in LaPlata. Mine go to the same Private. I also know a lot of teachers in Charles County who are now pulling their children out of the public schools, not because of the education, because the kids are so bad and "scary" anymore. It is worth the money to keep my kids safe.

I posted because the person that started this thread was praising catholic schools. Clearly he/she did not get a good enough education.

Really..The kids that do go to Catholic School, what's their stance on Abortion??

Thought about sending my oldest daughter to a private catholic school until I walked the halls.. the brainwashing was TOO obvious.

I've posted this before, but those little white crosses drive me nuts. Seeing kids on the sidewalk carrying anti-abortion signs is just ignorant.
