A friend of mine started a thrift store at the Calvert Animal Welfare league in PF (across from the emissions place) a couple of years ago. Lately, I have been helping price donations and setting up displays with her. The store is open Fridays and Saturdays 10-3 and is volunteer based. ALL money collected goes to the dogs and cats at the adoption center. She does sell higher priced items on FB marketplace.
There is a shed on the property if you'd like to drop off donations! They do not accept electronics, large furniture and appliances, clothing of any kind, broken stuff in need of repair. (last week a broken tv and severely rusted dog crate were left there)
What seems to sell is kitchen items, children's games and clean toys, office and back to school supplies, puzzles, jewelry, items for kraft, purses, home decor, pet stuff, plant pots and tools, collectibles.
