Cedar Point Federal Credit Union

Whenever I use the app on my Android, it typically barfs 3-5 times before it will run. Launch it, starts to open, app crashes and closes, repeat. Been this way since that last major upgrade.
I've never had a problem. Works as advertised.

After the initial hiccups of the last upgrade, everything seems to work fine. I just logged in with both my laptop and Android, no probs.

Dumb question, but do you have the latest version? I'm using v17.2.0, the latest version in PlayStore. Maybe a remove/reinstall would work?

I dislike their new platform. I don't like the huge layout, vs the other "checkbook" style layout when you want to scroll through the transactions. The mobile app is just as bad.

I truly HATE the way their new platform interacts with Quicken.

It sucks. I'm all for progress, upgrades and updating the software platform, but this is ridculous. I've considered taking my money elsewhere, because I dislike the whole thing so much.

This is one of the reasons I keep my Navy Federal account open. Every time I have a problem at CPFCU, I vow to move everything over to NFCU. If NFCU had 1/2 of the branches that CPFCU has, I would be gone in a flash. Sometimes you have the need to interact with a live person.

I'm considering this right now. I really don't need a live person all that very much, but I understand what you mean.

I have ALWAYS been a member of some credit union. I refuse to pay monthly fees to banks on my money.

I use Navy Federal and they don't have any branches in the State of Indiana.

NFCU's mobile deposit makes life much easier. Direct deposit isn't available where I work, but I've only had one time that mobile deposit failed. That's the one time in 2 years that I had to venture to the branch to clear it up.

I'm very much considering just using CPFCU for savings. At one time I was ordering carburetors straight from China and I would have to contact CPFCU to "release" my account for foreign transactions for payment to clear. I never had that problem with NFCU. Although, CPFCU allowed a fraudulent charge from 1-800flowers to go through, no questions asked.

I was using my CPFCU MasterCard regularly overseas, and was in contact with them weekly when my trip kept getting extended. The people in the MC office could not have been more helpful.

CPFCU has mobile deposit also. Very easy to use.
