Celebrate the life of the former Surgeon General

I want to celebrate this hero of the Reagan era. He granted humanity to the victums of the Human Immuno Deficiency Virus when others would not. He educated the public and taught America what it was.

When others were persecuting the victums of this disease he educated.

C. Everett Koop was one of the best of that era and I think we should celebrate a man who made the United States a better country!

Thank God for him!

I had the pleasure of meeting and chatting with Dr. Koop a few times as part of a past job. He was once the first to arrive to a Christmas party; and I was tasked with going and small-talking him. I went over to him as he was putting down his brief case. As he came up, he banged his head on a coat wrack and cut it open. Nothing significant. But it gave us plenty to talk about. He was very down-to-Earth. He was the last recognizable Surgeon General. Carmona was a good one too.

Does anyone know whether the U.S. still has a Surgeon General?
