Lexi,

I just upgraded and I had email my ringtones to my new phone since they were mp3. But my favorite ringtone did not transfer and they don't offer it anymore. Before you upgrade check to make sure they transfer.
Get a phone with an SD or mini-SD card, and take everything with you to your new phone.. Save pictures, contacts, ringtones and even music to it.. I've got a 512 MB card in my phone, and bought BG a 1 Gig card for hers. We can download pictures from the phone directly to the computer (FAST) without having to e-mail or Picture-mail them first.

Switch to Verizon..

Does anyone have the RAZR V3? Do you like it?

Dunno, but I read on the Verizon cellphone site that you can upgrade from your present phone to the Motorola RAZR for $49.99, but you have to sign another 2 year contract again.

I'm thinking about going over there to their store, next to Starbucks, and seeing what they have to say.

It IS a cool looking phone.

My wife gets a deal through work, so we just got two free, along with $20/mo off the service price. The phones should get here tomorrow. :yay:

You have a great plan because I have been trying to figure out what cell to buy since my contract expired 9/10/06. I have to pay a $18 upgrade fee as well as something for the new phone.

My top listers seen here out of a vast majority of choices being as though I have to pay a portion of the discounted cost anyway are:

Samsung D807 (my cost $79.99 from $279.99)

Motorola SLVR L7 Pink (my cost $99.99 from $349.99)

Sony Ericsson W810i (my cost $99.99 from $349.99)

I was highly against getting another flip phone after what I've been through with the current and the thought of being stuck with a phone for 2yrs after I sign the dotted line discourages me from making the choice but I am bending towards getting another flip. I just hope my sim card carries over my ring tones I just bought.

Finally made the commitment. My cell was hanging on by a prayer with just the ear bud piece to hear through and then THAT stopped working so the phone was completely useless.

I went in and upgraded (2yr contract) to the LG CU500. It's a flip phone and I was against them but I couldn't find a non-flip I liked enough except the Treo and too many people in my family/office are rockin' that. Plus the decision wasn't getting any easier. But, I am more impressed with this phone than not. Oh and I did lose everything including phone #'s pics, and text msgs because this phone is 3G and my Sim card wasn't compatible.

It was $149.99 minus $50 mail in rebate so the phone is $99 to existing but $49.99 to new customers (with new activations the cost is $99).

I've been trying to upgrade too. Do you have Cingular? They have customer forums for each brand of phone. I've used that to try and help me decide. You can find out a lot about the phones that way.

I hear the iPhone might be really nice for Cingular.
