Cenk Uygur: We Just Gave America To A Fascist

Wonder where that puts GOLF.
I tried Golf , but I found the whole time I was thinking of more important things I had to get done.
Wasting a day chasing a ball around a field just wasn't my thing.
I suppose if you can block out the things that need to get done at home or at work you can enjoy the day. I just couldn't

It isn't only TV , it's the movies. Why would I go to a movie so the actors who call me garbage can get rich.

And don't forget the openly hostile mocking of Christians, Christianity, anything related to Christ, Christmas or any Christian observance, under the auspice of "artistic licence". Movies such as Black Christmas, Silent Night-Deadly Night, The Nightmare Before Christmas, A Christmas Horror Story, Christmas Evil, Christmas Bloody Christmas, Silent Night, All the Creatures Were Stirring, Red Christmas. And don't forget about all the exorcism themed movies with the main protagonist Priest/Father as some compromised individual fighting off his/her own demons and personal shortcomings as to give the impression that make all wonder how such persons are in such positions to begin with. With the possessed being some weak minded Christian.

And then there are the mocking movies about Easter. Such as "Resurrection" and "The Night Before Easter" and "Easter Bunny Massacre" and
"Easter Bunny Bloodbath." With the latest that came out this year being "Easter Bloody Easter."

And let's not also forget the music industry. As an example, the mocking and subtle subliminal references to ditching moral behaviors for immoral behaviors. Such as in Billy Joel's "Only the Good Die Young" where he says, "You Catholic girls, you start much too late." "You got a nice white dress and a party on your confirmation ~ You got a brand new soul ~ Mmm, and a cross of gold." "And they say there's a heaven for those who will wait ~ Some say it's better, but I say it ain't ~ I'd rather laugh with the sinners than cry with the saints ~ The sinners are much more fun."

The mocking of anything, in any way possible, Christ related, or of those trying maintain and live a simple moral, or Christian moral, code, is the most pervasive themes, either outright displayed, or by subliminal messaging, in near every movie or TV show in some form or another. Which has greatly added to society's moral and religious decay.

When was the last time anyone saw a movie or TV show disparaging different religious observance days with such titles as, The Eight Days of Death-Hanukkah. Or, Lights Out, Death by Menorah. Or, Horror on Yom Hashoah-Holocaust Remembrance Day. Or, Nightmare on Hanukkah. Or, Nowhere to Hide, Bloody Hanukkah. Or, The Evil Demonic Rabbi. Or, Pool Party Bat Mitzvah Massacre. Hummm?

You never will see anything that disparages, puts down, sheds a bad light, or that mocks these .... ever. It is only Christians and other certain religions, and peoples, that get openly mocked. Now, having said that, perhaps those watching any movies, or TV shows, will begin to pick up on such messaging, if one already has not.

There is a war raging. Been going on for many many centuries, millennia, and it is against Christians, and those with basic morals.

Golf is one of those sports that if you play, you like to watch other people play. If you don't play, you don't want to watch.
ACTUALLY I have found that bit true of most sports - I noticed years ago when I really got into volleyball and beach volleyball - I loved to watch it. When I stopped - I lost interest.

Hmmm I've never played other than Jr High gym class but the women's Olympic beach volleyball was quite interesting.

Yeah - this was the 90's - and it just was added then, as an Olympic sport. I got to go to practices with the Maryland team - and of course, they bea the ever living crap out of us. I'd visit the campus where they had these short Asian guys who would jump 3 feet straight up and deliver these incredible jump serves - and they had strategies and tactics I'd never seen before.

Sounds weird, but it was actually fun to still get beaten by these incredible players.

Yup. Just listed some examples. Why produce movies that associate horror, death, dismemberment, etc., and that mock, ridicule and disrespect, religious Christian observances? Or are you intentionally being obtuse as to the message I was conveying?

I used to have a theory that the more fun a sport was to play, the more boring it was to watch. Which explains why bowling is (or was) the most popular adult sport in the US, but the TV ratings are pretty low.
Add in full contact, and you might have something.

Sorry I just don't see any of those as mocking Christian holidays. Does Friday the 13th mock Fridays or the number 13?

This is the same bullshit as saying disagreeing with a woman or minority over something is misogyny or racism. To both sides I say grow up.

What are your feelings about the events of Die Hard happening during a Christmas party?

You have no argument and you know it so you have to resort to name calling. You should join the cast of the View.

OMG! It was a funny tit-for-tat back-and-forth video exemplifying an argumentative parody of how sometimes we all counter each other here.

I was just making an observation regarding how all Hollywood productions always only mock or denigrate Christianity and Christians in some form. If you can't grasp what I was trying illuminate, I can't make you understand it.

And I wasn't name calling at all. Simply illustrating our conversation using us as stand-ins in a video. I would be the woman, you would be the parrot, and the power cord the woman is complaining about being chewed by the parrot, the topic of my post. Geez get a funny bone.
