Central Fla. Boy Shot, Robbed Of Pants While Lying In Driveway Dies

A 17-year-old who was shot in Cocoa, Fla., Monday and robbed of his pants and shoes as he lay bleeding in a driveway has died from his injuries, according to Local 6 News partner Florida Today.

Steven James Comer was shot around 2 a.m. Monday in the 1100 block of Grove Avenue while leaning against a car and talking to a friend, Cocoa police spokeswoman Barbara Matthews said. While he lay there, someone stole his pants and shoes, she said.

Someone was checking to see if he was the guy posting photocopies of his genitals on car windshields.

While it's a shame to hear about a young man dying, I found it hard to be symathetic when a minor is shot while hanging out on the street at 2 a.m. on a weeknight.
