I got a few ripp chains from milt back during Isabell clean up.. They have half as many teeth as regular chain and they are square cut..I know I have modified at least one of them to round with the bellsaw machine.. Ill check to see if any are left unmodified and you can use them if you like. They fit the big husky its about 6 horsepower.

see I gots my mill attached to my bar.

I think less teef with a different angle would work fine. But the granberg idea looks really good also. I think I will just stop at milts friday and see what they got.

well it depends on what you call heavy. An oak deck from 2x6 material

give me a minute and I can give you some numbers.
The reason I mentioned it was when we replaced the pine bed with oak on our brick/block truck, it made a full load overweight.

well i made my first boards yesterday. wow they looked great. I am already thinking up some improvements to my rig. The boards looked so good I hate to use them for a trailer deck:whack:

Yes OAK is about 188% the weight of pine. since there is about 18 cubic feet of wood in the deck of my trailer

oak 49lbs per cubic foot x 18=882lbs
pine 26lbs per cubic foot x 18=468lbs
--------
414lbs difference:shrug:
