Ive been in Charlotte Hall for 43 yrs., don't remember a picnic area off Mt Wolfe, but there was a small spot at Rt.5 and Rt.6 across from where Cartwright's, where the medium begins to split. Where all the tree's still stand. Use to be a little blacktop road off the fast northbound lane of Rt. 5.
There weren't picnic tables. Poor choice of words on my part. That's just what it reminded me of. It was just a little wayside spot large enough that few cars could pull off and park. I want to think it was Mt. Wolfe Rd, but it may have been farther north. The girls that my buddy and I were running with lived in Golden Beach. It wasn't very far from the Rt. 5 intersection.
