Chat room & java

I am trying to be able to acces the chat function on here and having no luck. I get a square with the dreaded red x.

So far, I have re-loaded the most recent version of Java & tested to make sure it was okay. Checked out the troubleshooting suggestions and have the correct options checked in the Internet options sections of my browser. I have cleared my browsing history of temporary internet files.

I am running Windows XP & IE 7 with Norton anti-virus. Any suggestions?

Don't know yet. I'm basically a coffee drinker and am really just curious. ON the other hand, it's kind of fun trying to see if I can figure it out...

I had a problem with one of my old usernames, the chat wouldn't load at all. Never figured out why.
