I read in the local paper a few months ago, that the owners closed the business because the profit was marginal and wasn't worth it.
I guess that is why most businesses go out of business anyway.

Never heard of them. Advertising?
It's one of those little side of the road places that sells veggies and plants and pumpkins and Christmas trees. Across from Adam's on rt. 4.

I remember the owners husband died a few years ago, maybe it just got to much for her. too bad, it was a great place for flowers and crabs.

Like someone else already said they are finished, they are not going to be opening again. Out of buisness.

He is still alive. She passed away last summer. The land has been sold for development. He is actually studying to be a massage therapist.

The owner (widow) died last year just before Christmas and the children didn't want to continue the business....also the land was sold to a developer and eventually a 250 house development is going in right there.

:ohwell: That's a shame. I stopped there often and got some very nice plants from them.

Just rode by there. Has a big sign out front that says "We're Back, Chesapeake Bounty Opening October 1."

Hi

I frequently stopped there myself. The young lady had told me last summer that the owners wouldn't renew their lease. The owners were planning to develop the land into new homes. Hope it's true they'll be back!!
