He was very close with Chris Cornell from Sound Garden who hung himself two months ago, the day Chester hung himself would have been Chris Cornell's birthday

I have known a few people (not that well even) that killed themselves and it affected me, I still occasionally think of a guy in my 8th grade class that killed himself and I barely knew him, that was 1987.

Oh my. You bring up a very good point though about this affecting others. Romanticizing this in any way has the potential to create a very serious and dangerous domino effect. Perhaps we should point out the selfishness of this act and discuss more it's adverse effects of those left behind.

In the end he had some major problem, leaving 6 kids and a wife SUX. Two of my favorite bands lost member within the month or two.

This is how I feel about suicide. The loved ones left behind suffer the most. I already said my new extended family had this happen to them. It has been 20 years, and they are still not over it. My point is/was that more attention should be paid to our soldiers that return from war, and then kill themselves because they couldn't handle the trauma of it all. Y'all can bash me all y'all want. And, I said I would post the name of the soldier my hub is running in honor of in this weekend's 100 miler. Reconsidering now, that was not a good idea to do that, so I won't. Who he is running for this weekend was a 25 year old female Marine that came home and killed herself. If y'all don't get it, I don't know what else to say.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with supporting service members to prevent suicides, find out what is causing it etc. It should get more attention.

BUT, you express your opinions in the absolute worst way possible, you #### on everything else that you feel is less important, you feel the need to interject your opinion into EVERYTHING, you took over the thread that poor woman with the out of control adopted kid and made it about you, you try to marginalize other peoples opinions and throw yours out there as the only valid opinion etc. Anytime someone else has a differing opinion you try to paint it as wrong and throw yours out there, all while mentioning that your husband was a marine, is a long distance runner and that you moved from Calvert county (we all f'in know that by now). Now you try to paint everyone else as bad for doing the same things you do even if they are doing it to a much lesser degree.

If someone started a thread about how blue was their favorite color you would find a way to #### on that some how, mention your husband was a marine, a long distance runner, and that you moved.

I don't believe most of what she says. Honestly, I think she makes most of it up just to have something to say.

She's very addicted to this forum and other peoples lives. A member here warned me long ago, to be careful what you share on the Internet (I was new to it), anyway, he was right. There are a lot of crazies around, one reason I share very little.

Wow. I have been honest here, and, maybe, that was a mistake. My son is clean right now, but it has been a struggle. Get back to me when you know about my life. If my son dies of an overdose, I won't be posting on this forum, anymore, because of devastation. Oh, and get a life, random troll. Thanks!

You are one brutal human being. I guess it is because you are full of your own self. My son is on his own to work his problems out, but we are there for him. I would never turn my back. As far as my dot, how is she 'knocked up' when she is married? Her MS doc told her to have her children as soon as she can, not knowing how the disease will progress. She, also, has a full time job with Grainger, and her hub, obviously, works, too. We moved from Calvert to Montgomery to help out, and be with family. And, my children are not dumbasses. They were both in the Honor Society, went to college, excelled at sports, and are wonderful, loving human beings. I am very proud of them.
