Chestnut Ridge, Chestnut Hills and Coxs Run Redistricting

In a knee jerk reaction to low test scores. The BOE is planning to redistrict to Spring Ridge Middle School and Great Mills High School the subdivisions of Chestnut Hills, Chestnut Ridge and Cox's Run. In addition they are reassigning the principal of Bannekar Elementary School to be the principal of Spring Ridge in an effort to increase tests scores. Don't think is going to help the existing students at Spring Ridge get any smarter but it should increase the tests scores there, which is all the school system cares about.

I hate when they do this.Several years ago when they did redistricting at some of the high schools my son had to go from Great Mills High to Leonardtown High. We live only 3 miles from Great Mills High and about 10 from Leonardtown High. I still haven't figured this one out. :shrug:

If one uses the pc word for an infliction/ailment/etc; does it make the inflicted less retarded? Less crippled? Younger? Is it any less of a disability if it has a pretty word?

When you look in the mirror do you wonder if you're getting old, or older? How does that phrase form itself in your mind?

I have arthritis. Should I give it a new word so it will hurt less? Maybe a new word will keep my fingers from becoming twisted when I get 'older'.

Hiring him is probably the best thing our Board of Ed has done in recent memory, in contrast to some of their recent bonehead moves prior to his arrival...

I just got off the phone with a woman at BOE. They are NOT redistricting for the coming school year and have NO plans to redistrict or even DISCUSS redistricting.

When we moved from Leonardtown to Lexington Park we just lied and said my parents split up and that my mother was residing at a friends address in Leonardtown. They just sent all the school mail to that address. :muhahahaha:
